For one of my projects we are looking at interactive design.. I was given the theme ‘Safari Park’ and so I began to think about to make the experience more interactive. Acknowledging the fact that you are inside a car for the experience, I decided to go for an app. 

My app tracks the car you are in, and shows you where abouts you are on the map. When you reach a red dot, you can click it to zoom in on the area. When zoomed in, you can see the animals that are in a close range to you (animals are tagged within the park). You can also click on individual animals to view a fact-file about that animal. This could include facts, anecdotes, videos, photographs etc. There is also the option to ‘listen’ to the fact file rather than reading it.

My app is mainly focused on children and families, it is very simple and easy to use. People are able to learn more about individual animals in the park with my app, and attention isn’t torn away from what’s happening outside the car as you can listen to the information. 

For the rest of this project, I need to look into/think about costs, how it would be made, tablets, charging tablets, health and safety, how long it would take to make, content management etc. I also have to create a website to showcase the app.
